Raj Gadikota, Ph.D.
Founder and CEODr. Gadikota brings over 25 years of experience in the life sciences industry, with a proven track record of leading global R&D programs and managing large-scale scientific operations across India and the United States. He currently serves as President and CEO of A1 BioChem Labs LLC (USA) and A1 BioChem Research (India) Pvt. Ltd. A1 BioChem Labs was founded by Dr. Gadikota in 2013. Prior to ABCL, Dr. Gadikota held leadership roles in Chemical Development at Johnson Matthey Pharma Services (JMPS, now Veranova) and Albany Molecular Research Inc. (AMRI, now Curia Inc.). Dr. Gadikota received his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio.
EJ Lawton
Business DevelopmentMr. Lawton joined ABCL in 2014. Mr. Lawton has more than 15 years of industrial experience and has held positions in Sales, Finance, Operations, Logistics, and Human Resources. Mr. Lawton has a B.S. degree from Maywood University. Prior to joining ABCL, Mr. Lawton was employed with Albany Molecular Research Inc. (AMRI), where he was responsible for various functions, including the development and management of a chemical catalog. Mr. Lawton also worked as an accountant for Robert Rossi & Company.
Jason King, M.S.
Global Project ManagerJason King brings over 6 years of experience in the life sciences industry and 9 years of hands-on expertise in synthetic organic chemistry. He currently serves as Global Project Manager at A1 BioChem Labs LLC (USA), coordinating cross-functional teams and bridging time zones between A1 BioChem Labs and A1 BioChem Research (India) Pvt. Ltd. Since joining ABCL in 2021, Jason has led and supported a wide range of medicinal chemistry and process development projects. Prior to ABCL, he held roles at GSK in Collegeville, PA, where he began as a medicinal chemistry intern, and at Abzena in Bristol, PA, focusing on the synthesis of linker-payloads for bioconjugation. Jason holds an M.S. in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Sridhar Jogula, Ph.D.
Director, Scientific OperationsDr. Sridhar Jogula earned his Ph.D. from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), India, and has more than 18 years of experience in pharmaceutical development. Dr. Jogula worked for 15 years at AMRI before joining A1 BioChem (India). Dr. Jogula specializes in exploring novel research molecules due to his deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Dr. Jogula is well-versed in flow chemistry operations.
Ravindra Gadikota, M.B.A
Director, General OperationsMr. Ravindra Gadikota has a diploma in Engineering and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Before joining A1 BioChem (India), he worked for six years as a Director at ChemAccess, a chemical trading company in India. Mr. Gadikota has more than two decades of experience in sales and marketing. His responsibilities include overseeing finance and day-to-day operations of A1 BioChem Research (India).
